The next show
I will be doing is the:
29th Annual California Egg Artistry Show and Sale
Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9, 2008
Location: Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel - 880 S. Westlake
Blvd., Westlake Village, CA 91361 (The hotel is approx 50
minutes north of Los Angeles International Airport, just
south of Ventura Freeway (101), at the corner of Westlake
Blvd. and Townsgate Rd. Exit the 101 onto Westlake Blvd.
Free parking.
Hotel Reservations must be made directly with the hotel.

California Egg Show to receive the show rate. Reservations
MUST be made on or before Feb. 22, 2008 to guarantee the
show rate. Please make your reservations early!
Please note: Only Registered Show Guests may attend
seminars - so if you are planning to do a class, please
register also as a show guest! If purchased at the show,
Registered Guest badges are $35. Save by ordering early
(also the seminars tend to fill fast!) - send payment of $15
per person along with registration form now through January
14, 2008. As a Registered Guest, you are entitled to attend
the "Evening with the Experts" on Friday, to enter the show
at 8:30am both Sat. and Sun. (that's 1.5 hours earlier than
the general public) and you may enroll in the seminars
(class fees additional). Your badge will be ready upon your
arrival.
"Featherlicious" is my Westlake and Sacramento
show class project. Friday March 7, Noon to 4pm. All levels.
Price for the class is $225, kit only is $130, deposit is
$50 and the finished handbag is $450.

This handbag has over the shoulder strap. 3/4 of it is
covered with peacock feathers called "Golden Plume". They
are iridescent green and are fan shaped. The rest of the
handbag is beaded and also has a section covered with flat
back crystals in medium vitrail color (pink from one angle,
green from another). The kit will have a handbag ready for
decorating as well as complete instructions with pictures
and all you will need to finish the project. Students will
be able to finish the top of it during the class. When the
deposit is received, students will be sent a bag of feathers
to trim. They will arrive with pictured instructions.
Bring RETS, Dazzle-Tac glue, Gem-Tac glue with fine tip
nozzle, 5-Minute epoxy and towel to cradle egg while you
work.

Here is a glimpse of another of my
newest designs.
"Oh Baby"

This newest creation is made with ostrich eggshells, Faux
Abalone in pink color and is called "Oh Baby". The pieces of this
bracelet are hinged thereby eliminating the need for jump
rings. Also, I will no longer use crystal chains to decorate
the pieces. Instead, I will use my double bead chain and
hand glue each crystal individually. The bracelets are all
going to be made this way. I got tired of the crystal chain
catching on everything. The Epoxy I am using is, I am told, not
going to turn yellow for about 15 years, if it's not exposed
to sunlight. Finished bracelets are priced at $75 and
the kits are $35.
